A Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity house will be built this year in St. Cloud in honor of Pope Francis “for his commitment to social justice and reinvigorating the Catholic Church,” the organization announced April 10.

The home, one of four that it will build this year in the city, will be sold to a local, low-income family in partnership with local churches and other members of the community.

“Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian ministry founded on living out the principles and teaching of Jesus Christ,” Bruce Johnson, executive director of CMHFH, said in a news release. “This build is a great opportunity for people from the faith community to work together to bless a local family.”
