The Saint Cloud Mission Office carries the primary responsibility for promotion of the global outreach of the Catholic Diocese of Saint Cloud. The staff considers their role to be bridge-builders between our diocesan church and communities of faith throughout the world. Our role at the Mission Office is proactive as we strive to help everyone see the face of God in all people. It is to walk together on a journey of faith, living out our membership and our call to the Global church, united as one family. It is about all of us together educating, learning, and teaching each other about our similarities, our differences and the giftedness of everyone.

Please visit the links on the right to learn more about this remarkable type of ministry.

  • Looking for a way to give globally right from your home?  Visit www.GiveMN.org and search for "Society for the Propagation of the Faith, Inc" (our legal name).  From there you can learn more about the ministries of our office and support our brothers and sisters all over the world using your credit card (something we can't do directly from our office).  You can also set up an automatic giving on a monthly or otherwise regular basis, if that is easiest for you.  Only $10 a month adds up to support our mission ministries.  You can also send or bring a check to our office. All your donations are tax-deductible, and more importantly will help others encounter the generous love of our Lord!
  • Celebrate your Spring with Fair Trade!  The Mission Office has a brand new selection of unique crafts from around the world, in addition to our usual selection of fair trade coffees, cocoas and choclates as well as handmade dishtowels, quilts and crafts from local mission group women for sale.  Stop in to find the perfect gift for that first comm, confirmation, graduation, wedding, shower or birthday you've got coming up!  All proceeds support our mission connections and the mission ministry of the diocese.
  • Operation Rice Bowl is a great program that invites us Catholics every Lent to share our resources with those hungry in our world.  75% of all monies collected in Rice Bowl will go to global hunger relief efforts through Catholic Relief Services, while 25% will stay right within our diocese to help hunger-related ministries such as foodshelves and emergency services locally.  If you work with such a ministry and would like to apply for a Local Rice Bowl Grant, please fill-out and return this downloadable application form. To learn more about Catholic Relief Services and what you are supporting with your generous Rice Bowl contributions, view the following video
  • Check out the most recent Educators Bulletings for March and April 2013 (pdf).  This one-page resource is put out monthly and includes reflections, resources, activity ideas, events and more for Catholic parishes, schools, families and groups to use in encouraging and supporting the global mission of the Church.
  • Interested in traveling to Nicaragua to meet diocesan missioner Fr. Ted Niehaus, OFM Cap.? Delegations go each January to visit Fr. Teddy, and another is being planned for January 12-25th, 2014.  View a brochure or more information about the upcoming trip and download the application; there is limited availability, so get your application in soon!

staff-compressedThe Saint Cloud Mission Office carries the primary responsibility for promotion of the global outreach of the Catholic Diocese of Saint Cloud.

We carry this out in numerous ways, including programs of the Pontifical Mission Societies and Catholic Relief Services, as well as our Global Solidarity Faith Partnerships with the Dioceses of Homa Bay, Kenya and Maracay, Venezuela. The overall goal of the office is to engage as many members of the diocese as possible in the global mission of Christ.

The office serves as a conduit for both people and monetary exchange with the missioners from our diocese as well as the numerous relationships we have with faith communities around the world. We encourage and support mission curriculum development in our schools and Faith Formation programs, the World Mission Rosary, sister parish relationships, our mission Speakers Bureau, the Missionary Cooperation Plan, the sharing of Mass stipends and prayers throughout the world, parish mission groups and the encouragement of mission vocations.
