Global Connections through the Mission Office
|
St. Cloud also has many mission connections and special relationships. Many of these relationships focus on missioners from our diocese who have answered the call to serve in mission around our globe, and now are serving as bridges between their home diocese of St. Cloud and their current area of ministry. Other connections began when missioners from elsewhere journeyed to our diocese to study, minister or just visit. Some revolve around religious communities such as the Benedictines or Crosiers within our diocese and their ministries elsewhere in the world. Regardless of how these relationships began, all are important as we strive to learn more about GOD through learning more about one another in our global family! Learn more about these many different connections on our missioners page and country connections pages.

BoliviaOur Diocesan Relationships with Bolivia
Brother Lawrence (Larry) Kenning, a native of St. Mary Help of Christians Parish in St. Augusta, and Maryknoll missioner, is currently living and serving in Cochabamba, Bolivia. His ministry there helsp us be connected with the area, and we are always grateful to hear from him. Below is a bit more about Bro. Larry and his ministry. A Future of New RelationshipsMaryknoll Brother Lawrence Kenning, originally from St. Augusta, Minnesota, but a resident of the South American country of Bolivia for over 30 years, believes that the big question of our time is the question of violence or nonviolence. He states, "We cannot afford the culture of violence." Referring to the violence of current economic world structures he maintains, "we could live with 15% of what we now have." Read more about Bro. Larry's ministry in past Mission Connections Newsletters (contact the Mission Office for these editions):
