The vision of the Diocese of Saint Cloud is to have communities that are vibrant centers of parish life, providing Sunday liturgy, faith formation and spiritual development, active lay involvement, strong pastoral leadership and financial stability.

The Diocesan Planning Office along with the Planning Council assists the Bishop and the Diocese in their efforts to plan for the pastoral care of faith communities throughout the Diocese of Saint Cloud.

The responsibility of every baptized person, at every age, is to deepen their understanding of God’s desire in fulfilling the mission of Jesus Christ. One of the primary tasks of a faith community is to see that this mission is kept vibrant through the ongoing assessment of the key elements of parish life.

Those key elements are:

- Community  - Evangelization  - Leadership  - Service 
- Stewardship  - Word (formation of faith)  - Worship (prayer life)
