ADVOCACY
We all have a responsibility as faithful citizens to raise our voices and share our concerns with our elected officials.  If you are concerned about your immigrant neighbors and the impacts of recent policy changes, we urge you to build a relationship with your legislators. As we share our values with those in leadership, we become Christ’s voice of hope and hands of justice.

The following Catholic organizations and partner entities offer the opportunity to learn more and connect with their important work, around immigration and other critical issues, including advocacy opportunities.  Whether you are a seasoned advocate or are considering reaching out to elected officials for the first time, these organizations’ action alerts can let you know precisely when and how your voice needs to be heard on important issues connected to our Catholic faith.  Visit their sites and sign up as part of their advocacy networks to begin making a difference!

All the Christian faithful and people of good will are called upon to consider the legitimacy of norms and public policies in the light of the dignity of the person and his or her fundamental rights, not vice versa.

– Pope Francis, letter to the US Church, February 2025
