The Diocese of St. Cloud created this webpage to walk closely with all who have been affected by the unfolding challenges within the Christian Brothers pension plan. In recent months, participants learned that the plan administered by Christian Brothers is significantly underfunded, prompting the diocese to freeze the current pension as of December 31, 2025, and to begin the complex process of establishing a separate diocesan plan in the year ahead. In light of this uncertainty — and knowing how deeply these questions touch the lives of employees, retirees and their families — the diocese is committed to offering clear, timely and compassionate communication. This site serves as a central place to share updates, messages from diocesan leadership and information to help everyone understand the steps being taken to protect the retirement benefits people have worked so faithfully to earn.
