OCIA Workshop Part 1 – January 23 AM – St. Cloud

These workshops are for clergy, OCIA coordinators and OCIA teams and will explore the changes in OCIA.
The National Statutes that accompany the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) took effect on December 1 and replaced the statutes from 1986. Regarding the rites themselves, parishes/ACCs can begin using them now or wait until Ash Wednesday, but must be using the new OCIA as of March 5, 2025. For more information on the National Statutes, see the General Information section in the OCIA Ritual Book or Study Edition. Please note: There are norms for each of the periods of OCIA, so be sure to read them now. For example: Norms 14 & 16 have new requirements for record keeping in parish archives throughout the process, not just after the reception of sacraments.
