Topic: Building small communities in our homes and our parishes

Speaker: Deacon John Wocken (All Called to Christ ACC)

Deacon John Wocken is a permanent deacon serving the parish communities of St. Mary’s Cathedral, St. Augustine and St. John Cantius in St. Cloud. For the past 30 years, he has served as an elementary school teacher, currently teaching at St. Katharine Drexel School in St. Cloud. He also serves as a part-time chaplain at the St. Cloud Hospital. He and his wife Laura have four adult children and seven grandchildren.

This event will be offered virtually.

Following a short presentation from Deacon John, participants will choose a virtual breakout room for discussion based on the options below.

• Thinking outside the books: Preparing our youth and their families for the Sacraments.
• Praying together, cooking together, sewing together: How to think about combining small parish communities in our ACCs.
• Beyond sacramental preparation: How are we ministering to our families?
