St. John’s Area Catholic School in Foley, Minnesota seeks a visionary principal to build faith formation and educational excellence for our school.
Essential Functions:
- Manage school activities and staff, including hiring teachers and support personnel
- Develop, implement, and maintain curriculum standards
- Counsel and discipline students
- Observe teachers, evaluate their performance, assign tasks
- Meet with parents and teachers to discuss students’ progress and behavior
- Assess and prepare reports on test scores and other student achievement data
- Organize professional development programs and workshops for staff
- Assist with school finance budget and track expenditures
- Support and enforce security procedures for students, staff, and visitors
- Complete all required state, diocesan, and public school district reports
- Collaborate and maintain positive working relationships the Pastor, parish staff, public schools, parish, diocese, and other groups as necessary for optimum student results
- Director of the licensed childcare center
Qualifications
- Be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church who is able to be a credible witness of the Catholic Faith and whose lifestyle models Catholic values.
- Have a deep commitment to Catholic Schools and their mission
- Master’s degree in education, leadership, or equivalent, or in progress (preferred)
- Minimum of five years teaching and/or administration in Catholic schools (preferred)

- Able to establish and sustain a high caliber learning environment for students and faculty
- Must have strong leadership skills and strategic thinking to ensure continued success of the school and its mission

Pre-K thru 4 is one building attached to St. Mary’s Church and 5-8 are in the Middle School near Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Job Summary:
As a teacher at Mary of Lourdes, you must have a clear love of children and a desire to help them discover their God-given gifts. A teacher is responsible for creating and delivering engaging lessons to diverse groups of students in grades K- 4 and promoting enthusiasm for learning and subjects. In addition, you will be responsible for building positive relationships and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members to foster a positive experience for the entire learning community.
Qualifications:
- A current Minnesota Teaching License is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must have experience with curriculum and assessment design and implement best practice teaching and learning strategies.
- Must adhere to national curriculum standards and collect and report on correct and detailed records of student performance
- Must have strong classroom management skills and maintain classroom order.

Accountant

Salary Range: $22-27/hr depending on candidate experience
Position Overview:
Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records, including preparation of accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with all things accounting, including A/P, A/R, and G/L.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and enter them into the financial system.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and provide various financial reports.
- Record deposits and ensure account coding.
- Enter A/P invoices into the system and process payments.
- Reconcile assigned accounts.
- Assist VP of Finance with budget preparation and monthly statements.
Necessary Skills:
- Proficiency with the following software: QuickBooks, Microsoft Office products, and Google Office.
- Knowledge of non-profit accounting is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate servant leadership, embody the Catholic Community Schools mission, and exemplify a collaborative, decisive, motivating, and engaging communication style.
- Appreciation and understanding of Catholic Community Schools’ mission and the ability to articulate its values and vision internally and externally.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of accounting experience is preferred.
