Position Overview:
Perform administrative assistant-related duties involving interaction with students, parents, teachers, and college personnel regarding academic activities by carrying out the following duties:
Key Responsibilities:
- Compose or transcribe from rough draft correspondence and other information to be shared with staff, students, and families.
- Greet visitors and students, determine the nature of business, and direct appropriately.
- Provide data to assist new student recruitment and stay connected to alumni.
- Answer phones to provide information, take messages, or transfer calls for the department.
- Maintain attendance for the counseling area and enter data in a student information system. Assist in tracking attendance concerns.
- Function as a communication liaison between students and counselors.
- Coordinate testing for students needing to utilize the counseling area for this purpose. Communicate with teachers, provide for test security, and support students as needed.
- Mail scholastic warnings and other parent correspondence, and help prepare and mail bulk mailings when necessary.
- Update records and files as necessary. Send transcripts, scholarships, et., to colleges for current students and alumni; maintain records for GPA.
- Organize and schedule college visits. Greet college recruiters and assist them when they come to CHS by arranging for location, notices, passes, and electronic needs.
- Assist counselors and students with college applications. Organize and keep college reference materials up to date.
- Track statistics on each senior class collecting data on college choice, major, percentage of class attending four- and two-year programs, Armed Forces, or work world.
- Assist with planning and paperwork for registration of new and returning students.
- Assist with schedules and monitoring of testing; set up testing site and proctor as needed; collect tests (PreACT, PSAT, AP, etc.)
- Assist with Advanced Placement program needs. Organize student lists, seating charts, sites, and materials for multiple test dates within a two-week period.
- Coordinate Awards Program. Communicate with scholarship donors and presenters, prepare certificates and awards program, and assist with setup. Work with the Finance Office and students to ensure proper scholarship funding and distribution. Keep scholarship materials updated throughout the year.
- Assist with set up for Commencement activities, create program, set up diplomas for distribution, and coordinate reserved seating.
- Update main foyer showcase (Top Ten).
- Work with the student software program. Perform report functions with the software, moving information between the software and other external software used by CHS as necessary. Input test scores into student software.
- Attend Counseling Department staff meetings. Assist Counseling Department and supervisors in other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of a high school diploma with certification as an administrative assistant preferred.
- At least one year of experience.

Cathedral is seeking a Math Teacher for grades 6-8 for the 2023-2024 school year.
Job Summary:
- Implement best practice teaching and learning strategies into the content area.
- Establish individual learner goals that reflect the mission and values.
- Work collaboratively with department members and principals to support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with other teachers to design and coordinate assessments and utilize data to target student needs.
- Participate in regular PLC meetings as an active and engaged professional.
- Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, students, and administrators through all available means of technology.
- Establish and maintain high standards for character growth.
Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Teaching License – Mathematics emphasis.
- High level of content expertise required.
- Demonstrated ability to support critical thinking in meaningful discourse in the content area.
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in collaboration and problem-solving.
- Experience with curriculum and assessment design.
- Understanding the role of parent involvement and the ability to collaborate with parents.
- Ability to use technology as an instructional tool.
