The Road to Emmaus: The Spirituality of Stewardship Two discouraged disciples unexpectedly met the risen Jesus on the road. St. Luke tells us one of them was named Cleopas. Who was the other one? Unpacking the familiar walk to Emmaus outlines the four pillars of stewardship: hospitality, prayer, formation, and service. How can we let the Word burn within our hearts through the opening of Scripture and the breaking of the Bread? About the Speaker Fr. Tom Knoblach is the pastor of Annunciation Parish in Mayhew Lake and Sacred Heart Parish in Sauk Rapids. The virtual meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. with introductions and prayer. He will be leading us, not on the road to Emmaus, but through a Stewardship Way of Life. Is hospitality more than having greeters? How can we measure prayer? Who should be the focus of our stewardship formation? Is service really that important? Come learn some ways to incorporate the four pillars of stewardship in parish life. About the Speaker Fr. Greg Paffel is the pastor of Our Lady of Angels Parish in Sauk Centre, St. Paul Parish in Sauk Centre, St. Alexius Parish in West Union, St. Francis de Sales Parish in Belgrade, St. Donatus Parish in Brooten and Sts. The workshop will be presented from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. (10:15-10:30 is for Q&A) Communicating Stewardship in the Digital Age For most parishes, digital communication is an afterthought. In his presentation, Tommy will discuss how digital platforms, including email communications, the parish website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social media vehicles are vital evangelization tools for parishes. He will give concrete examples of how delivering a consistent stewardship message digitally will help connect parishioners to the parish and ultimately draw them into a deeper relationship with Christ.
